The Land is a so called MUD - a multiplayer, text based roleplaying
game. You are controlling a player character, an avatar representing
you in this world, which you can control in a large number of ways -
you can move your avatar around, look at things, pickup things,
manipulate them, talk with players and NPCs.

In addition to the IC actions a number of OOC
actions are available, especially chat channels and other
communication facilities.
